Entry Requirement & Prerequisites:
Anatomy and Physiology diploma. This can be in the form of a completed diploma, or working towards one. If you are working towards your A&P diploma at the time of Swedish Training we will certificate you only upon successful completion of both courses. Isis Therapy Training have an accredited A&P diploma which is 12 units home study. WHY? Isis Therapy Training take the delivery of all training courses very seriously. Whilst we appreicate some students eagerness to get out into the market making money from massage, we need to ensure all students we train have the knowledge of the body which will set them apart from those trained at different schools. It is an absolute legal requirment that students wating to do body massage either have this diploma, its equivalent or are working towards it. Imagine the scenario, in your first month you get a client who comes in asking for a massage, they tell you they have fibromyalgia and they have tension in the bicep femoris and semitendinosus, they also have M.E. Without the knowledge you would gain from doing the A&P you wouldnt know how to deal with this client. Be prepared. Dont risk looking incompetent. Dont risk damaging clients. Dont risk being sued for negligence. Dont risk having insurance companies turn you down because you didnt have this diploma. Book your A&P today. Be the therapist people remember for all the RIGHT reasons.
Course duration & Continous Professional Development Points:
2 Days & 35 CPD

There will be continuous formative assessments takes place during the day while you practise and take information from your tutor. On completion of the second day you will be expected to answer written questions and perform a full body massage with minimal direction from your tutor
Qualification - Accredited Practitioner Level Diploma
I am a full Member of ABT (Associated Beauty Therapists www.abtinsurance.co.uk) as a Trainer and Therapist and you will be able to obtain insurance through them, Professional Beauty Direct www.professionalbeauty.co.uk/insurance , Salon Gold (www.salongold.co.uk), Towergate www.towergatehealthandbeauty.co.uk www.insurance-therapists.co.uk and more.
However, please note, even though our courses are accredited by the Guild, I am not a Member of the Guild of Therapy Lecturers, so the Guild may not offer you insurance with them. This is a recent requirement they have requested - that all therapists wishing to obtain Guild Insurance must have been trained by a trainer who is a member of their Guild of Therapy Lecturers, of which I am not as I am already a Full Member of ABT (Associated Beauty Therapists). If you wish to choose the Guild for your insurance please check whether they would insure you before doing a course with myself, you can contact the Guild directly: Tel 01332 224830. If you would like me to clarify anything regarding this situation, please feel free to contact me.
