Gel Polish on Natural Nails - we use CND Shellac, IBD Just Gel, Artistic Colour Gloss and EZ Flow Gel Polishes for this course.
A deposit of £30 will secure your booking, the balance of £60 must be paid 2 weeks prior to your course date. If it is a last minute booking (less than 2 weeks notice) then the full payment of £90 is required.
This course will be delivered using the individual tutors own preferred Gel Polish system, when you contact then you can ask them what system you will be using on the day. However upon completion you will be qualified and insured to deliver the treatment using whichever system you choose. It is the treatment you are training in and NOT the system. We do not recommend one or the other, nor do we liaise with any particular Gel Polish suppliers.
The purpose of a using a gel polish instead of a regular varnish is that it is recommended to last up to two weeks without chipping. Gel nail polish isn't an extension, it is a specially formulated nail varnish that is applied to the natural nail and cured under ultraviolet or LED light. Curing means that a chemical process takes place which occurs when the photo-initiators within the gel varnish itself are exposed to the UV or LED light. It creates heat while the oligomers combine to form long chains during the polymerization process. These bonds of chains make the gel varnish become hard. Any stickly layer residue can be removed by a specially formulated product available from most gel polish suppliers.
Full practical demonstration and guidance throughout the day: checking the condition of the hands and nails, trimming the nails & filing, full gel preparation of the nails, full gel application and removal.
